The caterpillar cable pusher EKR 700 was developed and built for pushing or pulling electrical cables. Our electric powered Caterpillar Cable Pushers can be used as a Cable Forward Feeding Roller either in association with a Cabling Winch to reduce the pulling tension on the cable, or as a Cable Laying Roller on its own. Several units are needed at intervals along the cable track to provide an effective reduction in the pulling tension experienced by the cable.
Simple one man operation to synchronously control up to 10 caterpillar cable pusher units using one power source and remote control unit. The maximum pushing force from each unit is 700kg and can accommodate cable diameter from 30mm up to 150mm. Cabling speed is 10m per minute with standard control box and remote control. We can provide optional frequency control panel and remote unit to control the cabling speed from 0m per minute up to 10m per minute.
Each pushing unit is fitted with an emergency stop button that stops all connected units in the event of an emergency situation. Connection cables allow each unit to be spaced at up to 30m apart.
