DESCRIPTION

The Super G Lasher (10505) is an upgraded and improved version of GMP’s classic G Lasher. Built to handle larger bundles required for electrical distribution work, the Super G is capable of lashing cables from 2½ to 5¼ inches (63.5 mm to 133.35 mm) outside diameter. It can even lash multiple cables up to 5¾ inches (146.05 mm) combined outside diameter. This unit is the biggest of the GMP lashers and is designed to lash single or multiple aerial cables to a supporting strand. It can be used for new installations or with existing cables in place. It lashes on strand from 11/32 to ½ inch (8.73 mm to 12.7 mm) diameter with one or two spiral wrappings of .061 or .065 inch (1.55mm or 1.65mm) diameter stainless steel wire. Many lashers need to have a downward force component to drive the strand drive wheels, but the Super G has parallel-pull capability to overcome most terrain obstacles. The wire tension is always constant regardless of the amount on the spool, and the front rollers guide cables through the smooth edges of the machine.
