The Molecular Devices SPECTRAmax 250 is a microplate spectrophotometer that produces exceptional precision and reading speed using an eight-channel system, consisting of eight sample beams and eight reference beams. The optical design reflects a dual-beam spectrophotometer, and the xenon flash lamp and grating monochromator provide direct UV measurement of DNA, RNA, and protein microplates.
The SPECTRAmax 250 also saves time by performing scans from 250 nm to 750 nm to consolidate analyses of numerous samples. It features nine programmable protocols to automatically apply settings for read mode, wavelengths, auto-mix state, blank pattern, and temperature set point.
