The Big Sandy Sand Barrels can be installed in geometric patterns in front of a hazard to protect drivers from a direct crash or driving into the hazard. The system utilizes three types of barrels to create weights of 200, 400, 700, 1400 and 2100 lbs to increase the versatility of the system. The system is tested and meets the NCHRP 350 standard when appropriated designed and spaced in proper arrays.
