Through the utilization of state of the art semiconductor, embedded processing and software algorithms the Moxi™ Z yields results in 8–15 seconds, with little to no sample prep required. The Moxi™ Z also provides a proprietary and revolutionary new insight into your cell culture via the Moxi Population Index (MPI). Now, for the first time, cell culturists can instantly view the entire state of their culture and leverage this indicator as an in-lab QC tool to normalize and standardize their culture techniques. This is made possible by the power of Coulter and the Moxi™ Z proprietary algorithm, which provides a ratio of the primary population to all other particles, cell debris, or possible contamination in the sample.

The instrument allows for measurement of cells and particulates in a wide variety of applications, from mammalian cells, cancer cell lines, HUVEC’s, epithelial cells, endothelial cells, stem cells, mesenchymal stem cells (MSC’s), human embryonic stem cells (hESC’s), iPS (induced pluripotent stem cells), Red Blood Cells (RBC’s), White Blood Cells (WBC’s), Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMC’s) to common yeast, beads (both naked and died), and more.

The instrument is ultra-small and uses a long-life battery. It is ideal for use in the hood. And with the convenient Bluetooth connectivity feature, researchers can also use the powerful MoxiChart software package, or excel, to further analyze their data on a Mac or PC.
