The Thermo Fisher 3950 Reach-In CO2 Incubator achieves very tight temperature uniformity and features high capacity storage for large volume bacterial samples and large equipment/shaker installations. No extra heat generation needs to be accounted for, even while the instrument is completely full. Temperature uniformity is maintained by elevated relative humidity (RH) options that protect samples from desiccation as well as by its Directed Laminar Air Flow system, which produces an internal, horizontal pressure gradient to create even flow of heat across all internal shelves. Input ports and outlets are easily accessible, and the unit has different water fill options. Also, this incubator features an internal Enviro-Scan Microprocessor Message Center utilized to select the humidity range, monitor programmed controls, and alarm when the instrument exceeds parameters. Setpoint, run, calibration and system configurations can be adjusted using softkey input on digital temperature and CO2 displays. This unit is highly inclusive with four durable and stainless steel shelves, and operates as a stand-alone instrument (no add-ons needed for its complete function) used in large, batch sample incubations.
