The Zeiss Axiovert 200M is a motorized and scientific-grade inverted microscope with universal applications for transmitted-light and epifluorescence and is dominant utilized in microscopy of living cells. Specifically, this instrument is the industry standard in examination of cell and tissue cultures as well as of sediments in different flasks, dishes, microtiter plates, etc. This microscope also permits the performance of several transmitted-light techniques (brightfield, phase contrast, differential interference contrast and VAREL contrast). Its sturdy stand provides opportunities for micromanipulation, different light sources, temperature control devices, etc. and its motorized stage functions as a universal platform for a variety of specimens (mechanical stage may be substituted upon request and terms). Furthermore, the Axiovert 200M includes both an attached AxioCam unit with its imaging software and the AttoArc HBO 100W (and its controller) which functions as an external, specialized illumination source.
