DESCRIPTION

The BioRad IQ5 Real Time PCR offers you modular solutions with high sensitivity, and rapid assay optimization through gradient functionality. This 96-well PCR detection system has superior performance and thermal gradient capability. At any time in the protocol the temperature gradient of up to 25°C can be programmed across the reaction block.


Gradients in this Real Time PCR machine are easy to program through onscreen presentation. The powerful IQ5 optical system software allows users to easily navigate options, quick select tools, as well as access reports, advanced analysis of gene expressions and more. All data can be exported from the system directly into an excel spreadsheet. The IQ5 software lets users set up individual profiles, with unique log ins, file storage and data analysis preferences. Built in analysis modules let users quickly set up how their data is processed, including absolute quantification, melt-curve, end-point and allelic discrimination.


The IQ system uses a variety of chemistry detectors to create a five-target analysis for multiplex PCR without optimization.  The BioRad IQ5 Real Time PCR provides uniform results across a 96 well block by combining the power of the iCycler thermal cycler, CCD-based optics and Bio-Rad supermixes with reaction volumes as low as 10 μl. By using a combination of of narrow bandpass filters and a tungsten halogen lamp, light is focused in the center of each of the 96 wells for excitation.
